IMPORTANT: You’re looking for NSNetService’s `hostName` property; the `name` property gives you the computer name (equivalent to `SCDynamicStoreCopyComputerName`). Please do file a bug against iOS for not having a better way to get this. It seems like it would be a good fit for NSProcessInfo, which already has a `hostName` property that returns the `gethostname` value (and also supports KVO for various other properties like this). <https://developer.apple.com/bug-reporting/> Please post the bug number so that I can associate it with this incident. I’m not sure if there is any practical scenario where assuming SCDynamicStoreCopyLocalHostName would not be the same as the Bonjour hostname, would be true. I wonder if Quinn might have an up-to-date opinion on the validity of that advice. I'm not sure what you mean by "Bonjour hostname", but in iOS apps using Bonjour calling CNCopyCurrentNetworkInfo(CNCopySupportedInterfaces()) & friends will obtain the SSID of the connected network, if that's what you're looking for. -Carl _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list. Back when I used to commute, I’d regularly see one value at work and a different value when I brought my laptop home. NSHTTPCookieStorage no longer stores cookies with empty paths

Some of our unit tests have started failing on iOS 10.1.2 and macOS 10.12.2 — we tracked this down to a change in the behavior of NSHTTPCookieStorage. A cookie whose path is an empty string used to be added to the cookie storage, but now is not. [[NSHTTPCookieStorage sharedHTTPCookieStorage] setCookie: [NSHTTPCookie cookieWithProperties: @{ NSHTTPCookieName: @"cookie1", NSHTTPCookieDomain: @"mycookie.com", NSHTTPCookiePath: @"", NSHTTPCookieValue: @"sweet", }]]; After running that expression, there are no cookies registered for "http://mycookie.com”, in recent OS updates.
