I don't see this on my own network or MBP. Usually periodic network drops like this are the result of some DHCP conflict. Failure to renew a lease, or a duplicate IP address. If a device can't renew its current DHCP lease, or discovers another device using the same IP address, it is required to shut down its network dropping any connections that might be in progress. The DHCP Test tool in my own IPNetMonitorX can be helpful for isolating problems like this (free for 21-days). For example, you could have it cycle through requesting and renewing a couple hundred DHCP leases (10 per second). Any problems like an address conflict, roque DHCP server, or overloaded server will quickly become visible.
