Actually, I disagree. As long as your server registers with Bonjour, the test app will be able to access the server via the device's .local name. This makes the URL <http://bruno.local./> rather than <http://192.168.1.17/>, which is a lot more pleasant for all concerned. The code to register the server with Bonjour is trivial, and it's certainly a lot more fun than the code that Remco posted (which is otherwise the correct answer, btw).
