I'll have to get back to you on version numbers but I didn't test the 6GB file on other servers.  I actually tested a much smaller file on another server and it seemed to work.  Originally I was testing an 18 MB file and this was failing with web sharing but succeeding on other servers.  I had a co-worker try this 18 MB file out on his web sharing machine and his seemed to work.  At that point I swapped it out for a 6 GB file and then it happened again.

Thanks for reporting this issue, and
thanks for the reproducible test case.  Can you quickly
confirm for me the version of Apache you're talking to on
Port 127.0.0.1?  IIRC, Apache 1.x has a known limit of
4GB despite it's HTTP 1.1 'compliance'
If you're using apache 2 and greater, then this may well be
a bug in NSURLDownload (though the fact that it works with
other servers is intriguing).

At some point I stop getting download
didReceiveDataOfLength and never get a downloadDidFinish nor
didFailWithError.  Am I doing something wrong?
