I'm looking for a little advice with regard to getting a kernel dump on Intel hardware (current Mac Mini, to be specific).
You might have more luck getting the dump over FireWire; there are various situations (for example, problems with the Ethernet driver itself) where Ethernet will fail but FireWire will work. If the Mac doesn't have FireWire, I believe you can do this stuff over the Thunderbolt adapter. I've not investigated the kernel core dump side of things, but kernel debugging certainly works that way. <https://devforums.apple.com/message/749139#749139> Beyond that I'd recommend you post to the darwin-kernel list.
