Pro-apps-dev mailing list (Pro-apps-dev(a)lists.apple.com) Help/Unsubscribe/Update your Subscription: http://lists.apple.com/mailman/options/pro-apps-dev/site_archiver%40lists.a… I may be going mad, but it appears that the image data I get in an FxPlug plug-in when jumping around the timeline in FCP is different to when I render a sequence - it appears that it has been through a slight gamma correction (although nothing as extreme as sRGB). To verify this I dropped a linear ramp image into my timeline - zero on the left and full white on the right. Plotting the intensity from left to right inside the plug-in yielded a curve when jumping around the timeline, but a straight line (as expected) when rendering the sequence. Is this expected behaviour - maybe something to do with FCP correcting for the display? If so, is there a way to know if the data you're getting has been corrected, or whether you're in a render? It seems like you're trying to force the user into a particular workflow, and that's generally a bad idea. But without more info, it's hard to say. When the user chooses OK, I stop the modal event loop, then do the following: [paramActionAPI startAction:self]; gRenderWhackerValue = !gRenderWhackerValue; [setParamAPI setCustomParameterValue:[NSNumber numberWithBool:gRenderWhackerValue] toParm:kParameterIDConfigButton]; [setParamAPI setBoolValue:gRenderWhackerValue toParm:kParameterIDHiddenRenderWhacker atTime:[paramActionAPI currentTime]]; [paramActionAPI endAction:self]; I tried having both the custom parameter (the button) and a hidden boolean parameter to try to cover all bases in working around the Motion bug Darrin mentioned. I put a NSLog call in the method that handles my OK button as well as -frameSetup:hardware:, - frameCleanup and -renderOutput:withInfo:. When I click OK, I see that the OK method is called, but nothing after that. Any further pearls of wisdom? What you have above looks correct. Would it be possible to send me a copy of the plugin to see what's going on in Motion when your filter changes a parameter? (You can email it directly to me if you want.) Can someone please confirm or deny that the NSCoding objects are supported under FCP 6? Is there another recommended way to store custom data with a project?
