You mainly need to factor out the common stuff and use that in your multiple projects. For example, you might have a single source file that contains one or more routines that do the actual work of processing pixels. You could include that source file in different projects for different applications. Once you get something working, I can give you some pointers about how to do that if you want. If you are writing FxPlugs that work in the OpenGL card hardware using the FxPlug mechanisms for getting to the textures on the card(s) and GPU, then there is not much reuse you'll get. However, due to the nature of our algorithms, we simply use the CPU and bypass the graphics card altogether. So our base code is actually used in 14 different host apps (soon to be 15). Portable, unless you need to use the host apps MP services to make sure you aren't stomping on what the host app is doing. This is relevant for many hosts applications. And will hopefully become relevant for FxPlug hosts as well (a feature I have asked for many times in the FxPlug API). This is not relevant for FCP/Motion RIGHT NOW because they don't have MP callbacks. But many host apps do.
