It's pretty hard to do, and not very useful, so I suspect the answer is "No," but I wanted to know if anyone is trying it. If so, under what circumstances? Sounds like you'd like to request that it be there in clips? Regards, Helena I'm trying to access a clip's codec in the XML to get the equivalent of the "Compressor" column in Final Cut Pro's Browser window. In the XML specs there is mention of the <codec> element, which is a child of the <samplecharacteristics> element. This sounds like what I want. However none of the clips in the bins have a <codec> element. A sequence does, but the clips in the sequence do not.
