Hi all, To answer my own question. I had set up a fresh Mavericks and was playing around with a small MacBook inserting some XML nodes. I did notice that the TextEdit prefs still had smart quotes activated and I didn't see those on the small screen. Back home everything was clear – and fixed. Once again an FCPXML question

If look at the import-options I can't see a valid keyname. Did I misunderstood? Maybe somebody has an example? Happy New Year for all. FCPX XML item not on an edit frame boundary

Hello, I am trying to use FCPXML to import video to FCPX 10.1, but FCP tells me Final Cut Pro encountered an error importing the XML file. “The item is not on an edit frame boundary (duration=“4544/600s”: /fcpxml[1]/project[1]/clip[1]/video[1]/@duration)” My file is quite simple: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?> <!DOCTYPE fcpxml> <fcpxml version="1.3"> <project name=“FCPX 10.1 Test Event"> <resources> <format id="format0" name="FFVideoFormat1080p2997" frameDuration="1001/30000s"/> <asset id="video0" src="file:/Users/test/Movies/wanging.mov" start="0s" duration="4544/600s" format="format0"/> </resources> <clip name=“Wanging" duration="4544/600s" offset="0s" format="format0"> <video ref="video0" duration="4544/600s" offset="0s"></video> </clip> </project> </fcpxml> I imported the video as media into FCP and exported FCPXML to confirm the duration was the same as FCP thinks it is: <asset id="r2" name=“wanging" uid=“3C848...9233" src="file:///Users/test/Movies/wanging.mov" start="0s" duration="4544/600s" hasVideo="1" format="r1”> FYI, I didn’t encounter this kind of error when I was using FCPXML 1.2 with previous versions of FCP. Hi all, Sorry for the empty message. I've some question where I can't figure out the answer from the FCPXML 1.3 docs. An example from a title effect <param name="Position" key="9999/16130/16136/1/100/101" value="0 -382"/> <param name="Anchor Point" key="9999/16130/16136/1/100/107" value="768 50"/> <param name="Alignment" key="9999/16130/16136/2/354/26232/401" value="2 (Right)"/> <param name="Line Spacing" key="9999/16130/16136/2/354/26232/404" value="100"/> <param name="Line Spacing" key="9999/16130/16136/2/354/26233/404" value="10"/> <param name="Tab Position" key="9999/16130/16136/2/354/26233/501/502" value="353.64"/> <param name="Alignment" key="9999/16130/16136/2/354/27114/401" value="1 (Center)"/> <param name="Line Spacing" key="9999/16130/16136/2/354/27114/404" value="10"/> <param name="Alignment" key="9999/16130/16136/2/373" value="0 (Left) 1 (Middle)"/> I do understand the param name (which is obviously easy), partially understand the values but I have no idea what the key mean or how the can be created. Assuming that value="0 (Left) 1 (Middle)" means horizontally left, vertical centered reimporting this XML(exported from FCPX) into FCPX aligns the text to the top Another thing is text-style-def. If I've a title using Arial Black <text-style font="Arial Black" fontSize="48" fontFace="Regular" fontColor="0.921502 0.921474 0.92149 1" bold="1" strokeColor ... Why is there a bold="1" entry? You can't set Arial Black to bold. In case I write an XML how should I know how and when to set this attribute.
