Hi Martin, I've never really developed plugins, but made some utilities which did launch Motion or FCP from shell. The thing you describe has been there forever. Try to put it into an "try" block to eliminate the error. Motion hiatus when launching from Xcode

Anyone else ever see this when developing FxPlugs? I've got Motion.app set as the executable for the Run command and Motion preferences set to "open last project". So I press Cmd-R and Motion does indeed launch but not fully. In Xcode console I see the usual "Class CMIOGraphService is implemented in both..." log and then nothing. Sometimes the menu bar changes to Motion, sometimes it remains on Xcode but Motion's document window doesn't appear. Tim, You're not the only one to request such a feature. It's something I've spent some time thinking about and I do think it would be a useful addition to the API. However, as usual, we cannot comment on future releases or on whether a particular feature will be implemented.
