Hi all,
Every time an email goes out to this list, someone tries to unsubscribe me from
it. Since I help run the list, that’s not likely to work.
If you want to unsubscribe, you need to click the link at the very bottom of
the email. You need to verify that the link has *your email address* in it. For
me, the link looks something like this:
However, for you, the last portion of that path should be your email address
(with the “@“ replaced with %40).
If you’re using your email app’s unsubscribe function, it may be getting
confused by there being multiple unsubscribe links in any given reply.
If you’ve verified that you’ve clicked the correct link with your own email
address in it, and you still aren’t being unsubscribed, drop me an email and
I’ll see if I can get you unsubscribed manually. (I’m not even sure anyone here
at Apple besides me is aware this list is still alive.)
And as always, you can ask FxPlug questions on the developer forums, which are
seen by a lot more eyes than this list.

You should be able to use the FxRemoteWindowAPI to do this. Note that we don’t
currently have a method to close the window, so the user must do it themselves.
This will hopefully change in a future release, though no timeframe on when
that will occur.

How do people handle opening a window (even a progress window) from 4.2?
(since out of process background services are not allowed looks like)
Is this a necessary regression 'feature" for Apple ?
