Apologies in advance that this is such a basic question but FCP is a completely unknown entity to me. I have tried to do some searching but my Google-skills are either limited today or there isn't much information out in the wild about this. As the sole Mac developer at work I have been asked if it is possible to create some sort of plug-in for FCP which allows us to add functionality such as opening files from pre-defined locations. Essentially, as I understand it, the ideal situation would be to provide the users with a new menu containing various commands which will perform file-based actions.
