This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com Realtime performance is limited to ideal circumstances and codecs. Alter those and RT goes away. Nothing new about that... I noticed a strange behaviour of the RT-Playback in FCP. When my sequence uses a preset for its settings (e.g. PAL, 720x576)there are no problems in playing it. But if I want to use PAL with square pixel ratio (768x576) I get the red lines over my timeline, saying me it cannot be played in RT. In this case the rendering does take very long, too.
