What is the advantage of storing the timebase as a fraction? Hi Andreas, I've settled on using FCSVR as my abbreviation. The only doc on FCSVR read/write XML is this: http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/technotes/tn2009/tn2255.html The number pair in parens is a fraction which is the timebase. For example, 29.97 is shown like this "00:00:52;26/(30000,1001)" regards, -eryk On Apr 7, 2010, at 9:21 AM, Andreas Kiel wrote: Thanks Michael, Sorry about these abbreviations I used. FCS could mean Final Cut Studio but I meant the other FCS: Final Cut Server I know where to find the FCP XML docs, but don't know where to find the FCS (Final Cut Server) XML docs. Basically it's easy, but there is one question left at this time. Timecode values are stored as "00:10:35:13/(25,1)" for example. My question is about the "(25,1)" : is the "25" in this example the timebase or the actual frame rate and what does the "1" mean?
