I think Ugur and Anders want to develop a custom plugin which will appear in the import/export menus in the same way that the currently shipping Automatic Duck ones do (www.automaticduck.com). This is different to the standard XML import/export procedures and AFAIK there is no public documentation on how to do it. Perhaps someone from the FCP team will clarify the situation? Subject: Re: Final Cut plug-in development
I was aware of those documents, but none of them actually cover any
information about creating a import / export plug in to FCP.
It covers how to write XML spport to an external app, so you can import/
export in your own app, how to write codecs, vdigs and effects in quicktime
API and how to write fxscript.
But I still can't find ANY ressource on how to write an actual import /
export metadata plugin for FCP.
This was of course advertised of the FCP product page in the same column as
the AAF fetures of FCP, and those are of couse working as of niw, right :)
(No pun intended!)
