The alias is a folder that contains not only the 'master' .icns file but also a number of other files. Placing the new .icns file in the first level before the alias doesn't help either. I could only cut & paste a 128x128 PNG in the Get Info, a 512x512 didn't work and it also turned any transparency into white. I could try another file format though. If you want to replace the standard icons with your custom icons, why not remove the alias to the master and replace it with your own .icns? In other words, your droplet would have your custom .icns, and other droplets would continue to point to the master. If that isn't an option, you should be able to paste a 512x512 image into the Get Info box. I made some custom compressor droplets in 3 (FCS2) and have managed to convert them all over so that they work with 3.5. I inserted a custom .icns file into the package contents of the version 3 droplets to replace the standard shrinking filmstrip .icns file. That all worked fine and I thought that I could do the same for 3.5. However it looks like a 3.5 droplet now contains an alias to a master folder that has the 'global' .icns filmstrip file. Or to put it another way, a standalone droplet does not house its own .icns file. Now as you can imagine, I really don't want to somehow change the master file to my own as I am sure everybody who has downloaded the pack might be a bit peeved. Is there a way I can insert my own .icns file in a 3.5 droplet? I can cut and paste a 128x128 PNG in the Get Info box but that doesn't seem to support transparency and I don't get that lovely scaling up to 512!
