It should be explicitly mentioned in the "FCP FxPlug Rendering Paths" document; let me know if it isn't and I'll fix that up. It appears that when calling [outputImage pixelAspect] in renderOutput, if the image is fielded and therefore half height, the pixelAspect is half what I'd expect.
