Shift between render and OSC time in FCP X

Hello, in FCP X (10.0.3) I noticed that there is sometimes a shift between the frame number passed to "renderOutput:" and the time value passed to "drawOSC:". The shift is up to 4 frames. The FxPlug method "currentTime" seems to work from within the OSC, but is it recommended or is there another workaround?
