Re: Determining physical files in Final Cut and Logic session files
site_archiver@lists.apple.com Delivered-To: pro-apps-dev@lists.apple.com Hi Tim, Logic doesn't have any developers on this mailing list so for that question maybe asking it on coreaudio-api mailing list might work better? Just a guess. As for FCP, are you looking for all the media files or project files? and when you say 'session' do you mean, in a project? or something else? We don't have an API for reading this data apart from within FCP, but one can get all the media files from a FCP project with that project open in FCP, even if the media is offline. Best Luck, Helena (Ps sorry for the repeat email, I should have reply-all-ed) On 2010-02-15, at 8:52 AM, Tim Jones wrote:
Hi All,
I've been digging through the Application SDK, but haven't found an answer to this.
Is there an API that will allow me to examine the FCP and Logic session files to draw out the list of files within the session without actually opening FCP / Logic?
I don't need any other information from the session files. Exporting to XML is not a good solution here as the user may be an intermediary without direct access to the physical files, so opening FCP / Logic will fail.
Thanks for any pointers. Tim -- Tim Jones tolistim@me.com
