Broadcast Wave iXML incompatibility with FCP
site_archiver@lists.apple.com Delivered-To: pro-apps-dev@lists.apple.com User-agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100317 Lightning/1.0b1 Thunderbird/3.0.4 Hi All FCP will not read the iXML chunk metadata from some BWF files. Both V6.06 and V7 have this problem. It seems to be related to FCP's XML end-of-line handling. Any help would be much appreciated? FCP will read the iXML if ASCii '0D', '0A' (CR, LF) follows each object, but it wont read the iXML if '0A' + several characters of white space ('20') follow each object. I cant see anything in the XML or iXML protocol documents which prohibit the use of '0A' and '20' after each XML object. All other iXML reader applications I have tried read the iXML OK, so this seems to be specific to FCP's handling. This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com
