I'm trying to access a clip's codec in the XML to get the equivalent of the "Compressor" column in Final Cut Pro's Browser window. In the XML specs there is mention of the <codec> element, which is a child of the <samplecharacteristics> element. This sounds like what I want. However none of the clips in the bins have a <codec> element. A sequence does, but the clips in the sequence do not. This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com
