FCP is based upon the Sequence Grabber API. QuickTime Player can use the API based upon QTKit, depending upon the configuration. Regards, Helena On 2010-05-12, at 1:13 PM, Helena Ju wrote:
Hey Brad, They use different APIs and Final Cut also uses some of its codecs which aren't part of Quick Time as well. Regards, Helena On 2010-05-12, at 12:12 PM, Brad Wright wrote:
I'm trying to solve a problem with a customer and I'm curious as to what Quicktime Capture APIs Final Cut Pro is using? I know this might not be something that Apple wants out, but I can ask anyways. The customer is running Snow Leopard and he is capturing fine with Final Cut Pro, but the Quicktime Pro 7 player is unable to record. I'm guessing these programs are using different API's.
