I don't have anything more to add at this point, unfortunately. We don't plan on switching compilers, and (therefore?) we can't currently take advantage of OpenMP in our FxPlug products. I'm waiting to hear of a fix in gcc. m Is anyone experiencing any OpenMP issues in FCP, FCPX, or Motion 5? Supposedly there is a compatibility issue with OpenMP and the Apple GCC which causes problems when OpenMP code is run from the non-main thread. Was wondering if this has been an issue for anyone. (someone suggested I switch to the Intel C++ compiler to work around this). _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list. They will be ignored. I have no idea if it would work, or what the potential downside would be to switching compilers, but it's worth a try. FWIW I did try the LLVM compiler (Xcode 3x - I haven't switched to 4 yet, which uses clang I guess) and that didn't help. I am evaluating the Intel compiler right now but ran into a really weird optimizer bug. It's a whole new world... <whistles> This email sent to matt@zaxwerks.com This email sent to dcardani@apple.com This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com
