Can I use GarageBand v2.0.2 and an iSight camera to create a podcast (an MP3 file that is)? I'm using OSX 10.4.11 on a dual-G5. In GarageBand's Preferences <Audio/MIDI> I saw the audio input source set to <Built-in Audio>, there is a grayed out (iSight (not 44.1)) popup pick. I started <Record> but didn't get any input. The iSight is plugged in to the Firewire port. If not for GarageBand is there another software solution utilizing the iSight? I'm not sure what this question has to do with developing plugins for ProApps, but here's an idea. Do you have QuickTime Player Pro? If so, it has the ability to record from your iSight camera. Go to the prefs in QT Player Pro and make sure you have the audio and video recording prefs set to your iSight camera. Then use "New Movie Recording" or "New Audio Recording" in the File menu to make your recording. For more information about using QuickTime, please join the QuickTime Users mailing list.
