A one-channel (Alpha-Only or grayscale) gradient parameter would be absolutely perfect for my current project, which I've shown to you. Is there a chance to create that without using custom parameters ? You said that there might be a possible "hidden feature" ?
From what I can tell, the gradient control in both Motion and FCP supports only showing you the alpha controls, or only showing you the RGB controls. We just don't expose this in the FxPlug API. I remember talking with you about it. Basically you want a one- channel gradient parameter. we have spoken in Vegas at the plugin meeting about a gradient parameter which only consists of the Alpha channel without the color information, like the one you have in your Particle Emitter's parameter "Color Over Life". Is there a (currently maybe undocumented) way to create such a color gradient parameter without the need create a custom parameter ?
