Where are we with camera/light access in FxPlugs

Pro-apps-dev mailing list (Pro-apps-dev@lists.apple.com) Help/Unsubscribe/Update your Subscription: http://lists.apple.com/mailman/options/pro-apps-dev/site_archiver%40lists.ap... A while back (April, 2007) Dave Howell asked what 3D info we'd like to have access to in the FxPlug API. A few developers responded with the expected answers (camera info, light info, layer matrices), etc. Can someone on the Apple team tell us where we stand on this? I know that we can get (some/most) camera info and a layer's matrix, but we're interested in a few more things. A few questions: - Can we get any 3D light info? We'd like to be able to mimic the lights in our 3D scenes (so we can match the Motion scene's lighting). - Can we get the transform of a particular (named?) layer - or can we only get our own info? We'd like to allow a 3D object in our scene to track a 3D object in Motion. I know there are always changes in the works, so maybe someone can comment on the above.
