I am trying to transcode from h.264 to DVC Pro25 NTSC. I am getting about a 7:1 using an 8 processor machine. Almost all other codecs are near real time. Is this codec just a dog or what? I can encode 10 bit HD 422 1080p faster than this. Anyone know of any new codecs that can hit he registers on the new machines? DCV Pro 25.
