I've seen FCP's menu handling get confused when a large number of plugins are installed - "large" in this case being 500 or so. How many plugins does the user have installed? Which version of the app are they running? If it's just a menu problem, they should still be able to add the filters by dragging them from the Effects tab. If you could get a system profile from the user, we might be able to get more clues about what could cause the issue. Never heard of anything like this before. Have a user that says 3 of our 90+ filters are grayed-out in the filters menu. He has been able to use these filters in the past -but for some reason now they are grayed out now.
