Final cut pro 7.0.1 using the wrong data ref for media segments when there is more then one in track
site_archiver@lists.apple.com Delivered-To: Pro-apps-dev@lists.apple.com Hi All We have a import/export component for FCP/QuickTime that is working very well in general, but there is one issue we cannot resolve. For one of our formats we need to stitch together multiple video and audio files to make a complete A/V clip in FCP. If there is only one video file and one audio file per track, everything works perfectly in FCP and QT Player. If there are multiple video files and multiple audio files, everything works perfectly in QT Player on OS-X and Windows, but in FCP the video media segments are missing the first one, or more likely, FCP is using the dataRef from the second segment for the first, the third segment for the second, etc. The result looks like this: QTPlayer: Track 1 | -- video 1 -- | -- video 2 -- | -- video 3 -- | Track 2 | -- audio 1 -- | -- audio 2 -- | -- audio 3 -- | Track 3 | -- audio 1 -- | -- audio 2 -- | -- audio 3 -- | Track 4 | ---------------------- time code ------------------| FCP: Track 1 | -- video 2 -- | -- video 3 -- | -- black --| Track 2 | -- audio 1 -- | -- audio 2 -- | -- audio 3 -- | Track 3 | -- audio 1 -- | -- audio 2 -- | -- audio 3 -- | Track 4 | ---------------------- time code ------------------| I have tried adding a fake dataRef to another file with no media in the video track, but this does not help. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
