I read that one may be able to integrate a quicktime component into Final Cut Pro, like a new entrance into File->Import (or Export) Tab. Is this right? If so, does any one has experience with this? I have been reading some documentation about quicktime components but I do not found it straightforward to do such a thing. Besides, I tried to install Quicktime SDK 7.2 (into leopard 10.5.5) with no success (It requires a previous version of MAC OS....) I found it odd... Can anybody put some light on this? Jose, I don't remember off the top of my head which QT Components FCP supports. You should be able to build the example QT import or export component, install it, and see if FCP recognizes it, though. I don't think you need any special extra SDK to build code which uses QuickTime. All of the headers should be installed in the QuickTime framework supplied with the OS.
