I am wondering if anyone knows why only SOME QT components work in Compressor 2? Namely the LAME Mp3 encoder. Here we have this perfectly good batch compressor and I still can't batch MP3s in it. Sure i can use iTunes, but if I want say, one setting for web and one for mp3CD, I'd have to constantly go into the iTunes prefs and change the settings back and forth. Seems strange that though the new compressor 2 supports components, it only sees AVI, 3GP, REAL and the Flip4Mac WMV encoder (not the Popwire WMV encoder). NOTHING else installed in the QT folder is seen. Anyone know why? And if you do know why, do you know how to patch the LAME encoder to work?
