In order to work around some of the time-remapping problems, we're setting up markers in the project to create a loop. This seems to short-circuit the time remapping and we get 1-1 frame numbers. It may be. Is the "Save Preview Movie" checkbox checked? If so, then it's rendering a preview movie.
