Soundtrack Pro & Applescript
site_archiver@lists.apple.com Delivered-To: pro-apps-dev@lists.apple.com Thread-index: AckqeWtRwpQRXmq1QEu8FPgjWTER9AAUZp/g Thread-topic: Soundtrack Pro & Applescript Hi all- I have a question regarding scripting Soundtrack Pro. Bit of context: I have two folders containing .wav files. Call them file sets A,B,C,D,E,F... and 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8.... I want to combine these so I get A1-8, B1-8, C1-8 etc. So if there are 10 files in each folder I end up with 100 combined files. I can already do this using Quicktime and Applescript. Slowly, but it works. However, I want to use Soundtrack Pro instead. Two reasons - first, Quicktime adds a click sometimes. Second, I want to be able to do advanced processing on the files on the way through. What I need is a way to open a file, copy it all to the clipboard, open another file, move the playhead to the end, trim back a bit if needed, and paste the clipboard in. Then save the new file out as a .wav. At the moment I am stuck on the "copy to the clipboard" bit. This is easy in Quicktime, but there doesn't appear to be a copy commmand in STP, event though there is a paste. Any thoughts?
