I had a similar experience.
I reinstalled FC Studio and now everything is fine again.
I don't know if this problem is affecting our users yet.

I recently upgraded to FC Studio 3 in Leopard. Everything was fine.

Then I upgraded OS X to Snow Leopard (a few weeks later) and the
Zaxwerks FxPlugs went missing.
An upgrade install should work, and keep your Studio intact, but it
sounds like something went wrong on your machine. You didn't mention
that Motion won't launch; that's another interesting data point that
suggests that something is wrong with your studio install.

It sounds like the FxPlug framework isn't installed. I'd suggest re-
installing Final Cut Studio.
Is it just your own and third party plugs that are not loading or
are all the

FxPlugs missing in action, are they missing FCP only or in Motion
too?

Both our FxPlug and plug-ins from Red Giant and GenArts aren't
loading.

Motion won't even launch on my system so I'm afraid I can't test
that.  The

plug-in of ours is the same bundle that came off a MacPro running
10.5 and

FCP7 where the plug-in works fine.
When you upgraded your system to SnowLeopard, did you upgrade a

Leopard partition with Final Cut Studio already installed? Or did
you

install onto a new partition? If it was a new partition, did you run

the Final Cut Studio installer on your new SnowLeopard install?

Cut Studio must be installed on your boot volume, and you must run
the

installer. Drag install is not supported.

I upgraded, I did not do a clean install.  I know that upgrading is

generally not recommended but I like to try it because I figure
that's what

most users at home are likely to do.  Should I remove FCS and
reinstall?
