It's installed by Pro Application Update, which is a different package. I confused the two; I apologize. I'm still pretty sure that the problem is that you've got an older version of ProFX.framework, but it sounds like Pro Application Support might not be the culprit. We just re-tested the 4.0.1 update over here, and the FxPlugs still work for us. Pro Application Update is the package that upgrades you from FCS 2 to FCS 2.0.1 - among other things, it upgrades FCP 6.0 to FCP 6.0.1. If you run that updater, it should upgrade your ProFX.framework. The updater is here: http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/download/. Can you file a bug and include your configuration info? The best way to do that is to choose "Create Support Profile" from Final Cut's Help menu. Hmmm, ProFX.framework doesn't seem to get installed at all after I do that. Is it missing from the 4.0.1 update? that looks like you have the wrong copy of ProFX.framework installed. ProFX.framework lives in /Library/Frameworks and is part of Pro Application Support. The installer might not have upgraded your ProFX.framework correctly. Try moving aside the framework, as well as the corresponding item in /Library/Receipts, and running the updater again. Let me know if that doesn't fix it. This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com
