As for outrageous opinions, I'd suggest taking a look at standard, open-source solutions such as Hibernate, Cayenne, or Tapestry which provide similar toolkits to WebObjects in a much more cross platform-friendly environment. Uh - I don't really get this: why would you run the tools which work - if badly - to a set of toolkits that have *no* kind of wizard/application support?
