Andreas,
Projects that have never been saved to a file will not be reported in
the open projects list. This is (in part) because the only way to
refer to projects via apple events is with a file path or reference.
I have never seen the behavior you describe - i.e. projects
"disappearing" from the list. I will do some investigation, but
without a repeatable test case there is not a lot I can do.

Hi all,
Again a FCP AE question.
We are using the new "kFCPGetAllOpenProjects" call, this works fine
sometimes, sometimes not. I haven't found out a rule or whether it's
our code or not.
It always works when FCP is starting "fresh" with some project(s)
and it is always working if things are modified in FCP itself. But
it seems that sometimes if the projects are modified by AE they are
flagged as "dirty" and not included in the returned list as well as
any newly added "untitled projects" - that happens both with the
original Apple code and our own.
To try, open FCP holding down shift key and run the "FCP_AE_Tester"
- though there is an "Untitled Project 1" there is no feedback,
which is understandable as there is no "secure" saved path where the
project can be found.
But randomly - or maybe following some rules - also "real" project
paths disappear from the list.
Has anyone else made the same experience?
Thanks
Andreas
