Yes, and I guess I’m asking why that needs to be the case (what I’m told to do is exactly what I said I’m already doing. ).

Here’s what I’m told:
If I understand his issue correctly, I think he’ll just have to copy his .png files away from the template directory and copy them back whenever he saves.

Sure would be a nice feature if it can’t be worked around except to copy the images back to the template directory structure.
