Be aware that there are Windows activation issues in this
scenario. The steps to take would be to install XP using Boot Camp, activate
Windows under Boot Camp, Install Fusion and choose the Boot Camp as the VM,
open Fusion and launch the Boot Camp partition, install VM tools, reboot the
VM, and then activate Windows under Fusion.

Hello all. Is it possible to have a Windows instance shared between Boot
Camp and VMWare Fusion? So, in other words, I could have two options for
running the same Windows XP instance ... I could use Boot Camp (running only
the Windows instance) or I could go Mac/VMWare Fusion to access it. I
thought at one point this was a possibility but I’m not sure this could be
possible.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
