Hi Glen,
Did anything possibly change with the network between these times when it was working and now? A kernel panic during the NetBoot process sometimes means that A) it can discover the NetBoot server and begin to boot off of it (you'll see BSDP discover/ack in the logs) and then B) crashed since maybe bootp is blocked (the traffic that allows the full netboot to happen). Just checking.
