Hi,

Thanks -- that worked. I'm following a tutorial that's at
http://www.macdevcenter.com/lpt/a/4227 . At one point it has you:
"In Project Builder, create a new File. The Assistant will present itself.
You should select the Display Group Component, ..."
I don't recall any Assistant in the Windows PB. Then again, mouthy
paperclips turned me off of automated assistance long ago. :-)
I don't see how, in Windows, to do this except as a subproject. Or as a
separate project that I make hyperlinks to. What am I missing?
Something. SubProjects are just a convenience for organizing code and
resources in larger projects. You should just be able to click on
Components and select File...New. I forget, it was long ago.
(Other than a Mac... :) )
I use both. Don't find that much difference.
What I had in mind was just a new WO component in the current
project.
Should be a suitcase named Components or something like that.
Some Eclipe/WOLisp questions:
* Would this mean I could work in WinXP? I gather, for example, that it
does not replace EOModeler...
You will still need to install it on WinXP. That can be done but is
more of a challenge than on Win2K (the supported platform).
Eclipse/WOLips just replaces the PB part. You will use EOModeler and
WOBuilder.
* Is there a replacement for the aforementioned Assistant?
Maybe it means the D2W assistant? If so, yes it is still there.

Use Eclipse and WOLips. :-)
It's been a while since I've had to do battle with PBWOe. I think
what I used to do was to close it all down. Delete them from the
filesystem, manually remove it from the PB.Project file and then
restart the Project Builder.

Any
