Thanks Dan for those comforting thoughts :-) In my case the worst that
happened was that some of my other libraries which are built on openGL
would not compile after moving the Apple/ATI header files and libraries
into a location along my path. So it does seem that I will have to
wait until someone ports the glx stuff to work with ATI drivers.
Sigh, ... , I so want my volume rendering code to work with X11 on my
laptop, but I need the fragment shaders.
