Hello,
I'm trying to use GNUplot under X11(Apple), but I can't seems to get
it
working. I used Fink to install the binaries of gnuplot and then I
fire
up Apple's X11 and then I typed "gnuplot" at the prompt.Gnuplot loads
normally (i think) and then it says "terminal set to unknown".
I don't know if that is the problem, but then I try very fundamental
commands like "plot sin(x)" or "plot a.dat", but nothing pops up
afterwards? What is going on? Normally using my linux box, or mu Irix
machines, things work fine.
Hints anyone? Thanks
It works fine for me. If my DISPLAY variable is set, gnuplot displays
with the x11 interface you're used to. If my DISPLAY variable is not
set, it fires up aquaterm (which fink installed at the same time as
gnuplot) and displays in that, which is rather better graphical quality
than the x11 driver.
What's your TERM variable set to?
