In the first section of the display, the one that's labeled "Active
Internet connections (including servers)" I get a line like
tcp4 0 0 localhost.6010 *.*
LISTEN
This must be the problem because I don't have any ports listening
around the 6000s. I'm pretty sure you're on to something because when
I
do netstat -a on a computer on which I can do remote display, they
show
port 6000 listening. So how do I fix this?
Scott
I'm not really sure. Do you have the firewall enabled, by any chance?
That
would probably prevent connections to ports 60xx.
The firewall was the problem. All I had to do is turn it off and the
remote display worked. Thanks for everybody's suggestions!
Scott
