What you really, really, really want is:
Xfree86 4.3.0: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/xonx/XFree86_4.3.0.dmg
plus
OroborOSX 0.9: http://oroborosx.sourceforge.net/OroborOSX-v0.9.tar.gz
If, for some reason, you believe you need to run Apple's older,
obsolete, beta preview for some reason, which you should not need or
want to do, it is available from:
http://a1408.g.akamai.net/7/1408/1388/20030317/akamai.info.apple.com/
X11/us/user/061-0491.20030317.Se4rG/X11UserForMacOSX.dmg.bin
Of course, what I would really recommend is just upgrading to Mac OS X
10.3. It's much nicer, in many ways.

Does anyone know if it still is possible to download a version of
X11.app for OSX10.2.8?
I am not running Jaguar and the only X11 download that I can find on
the Apple site requires OSX10.3.
I had a completely functioning version of X11 (downloaded from Apple),
but suffered a kernel panic earlier this week that necessitated an'
archive and install' system reinstallation.
Since then I have lost access to X11.
I can find a version of the X11 libraries in
/Previous Systems/Previous System 1/private/etc/X11
and the X11.app still exists in /Applications, but if I attempt to
start X11 from a terminal command line I get -
"Couldn't exec /usr/X11R6/bin/Xquartz: No such file or directory"
I'd would be most grateful if anyone can (a) tell me if it is possible
to resurrect X11 from the libraries remaining and (b) how to do so.
