7100 is the X font server port, by default.
See xfs(1), for more info.
xset +fp tcp/machine:port
If your using the Mac as a font server you'll need to open
the SystemPreferences->Sharing->Firewall to that port.

I would like to be able to use fonts that are on my local machine in
an X client that is running on a remote machine. From what I have read
I think I need to set the the font path on the remote machine with
xset +fp mymachine:port
but cannot find the port or the right format for this command.
Am I right that I should be able to do this?
What is the correct command?
Alan
