Actually, I would tend to suspect the opposite is true. Bash has gotten
quite a following, especially in the Linux world. Generally, csh variants
are used by people coming from a Berkeley heritage.
Apple's change of the default shell probably reflects this trend. I can't
say too much, though, I've been running /bin/zsh as my shell ever since OSX
came out, long before Apple even included bash as a shell.
The original arguments for csh (command history, job control, etc) no
longer apply to bash/ksh/zsh variants. The only real argument for someone
to use csh is that they are used to it.
