Possibly brought up before and probably difficult but...
I take my pbook all over the place with me. At work I span onto a LCD
"above" my pbook's display. At home I span onto a CRT to the right. When
I watch movies, I span onto my TV.
Adding a new screen is fine with most applications - they can move around
a bit as the screen is added, but are generally still visible.
But not so with X11. Often my applications will dissapear completely off
the screen as the second one is added/removed. My only option is to kill X
and start them back up again which is frustrating when I do it a few times
a day.
Is there any way around this? ie, can Apple's X11 be made aware of screen
spanning and as a screen is added/removed and it moves its origin, X11
windows are re-positioned to new coordinates so they're still somewhat
visible on whatever screen is left?
PD
