ssh flagfish
I am able to log on and perform terminal command line functions.
However,

You have to use "ssh -X flagfish".
It's probably also worthwhile pointing out that the reason that ssh
doesn't
just do X forwarding all the time is that it is a potential security
issue.
That is, when you use ssh to do X forwarding, the host running the ssh
server
can potentially do all sorts of nasty things to you -- like log all your
keystrokes (yes, *all*, not just the ones that are intended for it) for
example. So unless you trust the admin of the remote machine to be
competent
and not allow his machine to be broken into, or to otherwise allow such
things to happen, don't use X forwarding to that machine.
Hope that makes sense.
Cheers,
Nick
