This is the correct way to do it anyway for X Windows. Each monitor is
supposed to be treated as a separate device, particularly since they may
have different bit-depths and sizes. X-Windows does not allow mapping across
multiple devices. So, if you want your application to work on (all) other
X-Window systems, you would need to do this anyway.
